RE/COVER green

A new, ecological generation of elastic floor coverings has come into being: “RE/COVER green”, a newly developed flooring made from natural raw materials – without PVCs, chlorine, plasticisers and solvents. Rapeseed and castor oils replace the petrochemical primary products. In doing so, the public’s desire for ‘ecologically correct’ materials is fulfilled to the same extent as the targeted goal for greater leeway in design. With a preliminary 30 variations for the time being, the wide-ranging product lines “Uni” and “Print” focus on pursuing the idea of artistically creative decor. Not on whether the wood or other substances seen in a given decor are truly authentic, the impression conveyed at first. As a result, the major attraction lies in the sense of aesthetics and an ecology of materials that no longer takes authenticity for granted; these factors are used instead to play with images of seamless concrete surfaces and areas of water shimmering in light. With this kind of instrument, every user can make their personal taste a reality without having to have environmental scruples, and without paying immense costs. The collection is co-ordinated in alignment with the ecological programme of carpet tiles entitled “SCALE” and “SCALE Living” by Vorwerk, the manufacturer.
