Schulungszentrum DV AG

Office building

One design, suited to the most differing locations throughout Germany: the architects developed a standard building for the training centres of the Deutschen Vermögensberatung (DVAG) to deal with this requirement. Two basic ideas defined the concept: the individuality of the building, which is mostly located within industrial areas lacking an urban character, and it’s use as a training centre: a place for gathering, for concentrating and for communicating. The idea began with the notion of an island within an industrial area, characterised by the play between natural and built landscape elements, artificial water features and terraces. The buildings which up until now have been completed in Stapelfeld, Brandenburg and Chemnitz are based upon an outer C-ring containing the office and administration areas, and an inner V, containing the seminar rooms. Together, the two elements form the logo of the DVAG (when seen from above). The delicate, transparent facade allows light to enter the building; natural materials such as timber, glass and plaster generate a warm and friendly atmosphere – the prerequisite for comfortable and effective learning.
