Narenjestan Hashtag Building
Office buildingThe building is located on the famous 7th Narenjestan Street in Farmaniyeh, an affluent and upper-class district in Tehran’s northern foothills. Facing the Park Center building, accessible from Pastaran Avenue, and close to the Niavaran Park and Palace Complex, the Narenjestan Hashtag Building sets new standards in the real-estate market for office buildings in Tehran. The name is related to its floor-plan geometry, which forms a three-dimensional hashtag shape. The 18-storey structure contains ten floors of flexible and sustainable planned open-space offices above an access to a fusion restaurant garden on the ground floor level, including a two-storey-high entrance lobby. The complex features seven levels of underground parking and provides faciilities for semi-public spa and fitness areas. Double-floor-high gardens enhance the office levels on the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th and 9th floors. Together with the upper floors, the spacious rooftop terrace that equally serves as a private restaurant with catering and café facilities offer stunning views of the Alborz Mountains. Three different kinds of façades have been designed: a dark natural-stone-cladded ventilated façade system for the vertical eastern and western facades facing the neighbours, a transparent mullion and transom construction towards the gardens, and voids and a double-skin façade orientated to the busy Narenjestan Street. The second multifunctional skin takes requirements concerning ventilation, shading and noise reduction into consideration, and the skin also includes lighting elements for all office spaces. Though the façade is being customised and co-ordinated to fulfil specifications for the individual uses involved, the targeted outcome that emerges on the whole is a decidedly coherent appearance. The building will serve as the new headquarters of AZARESTAN BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT (ABD).
