»Room-high movable mirrors and glass balustrades transport the prominent street location far into the interior. «Hadi Teherani

The atmosphere in this open spatial continuum rises across four emotional levels. The discreet elegance at the bespoke tailor from Naples communicates with the panorama of the Binnenalster lake reflected indoors, with the intrinsically Hanseatic/classic value of the materials used for the fittings, with a modern interior design that arouses curiosity all the way up to the lounge on the gallery. Polished stainless steel and glass, Macassar ebony and cocoa-brown natural stone are the recurring elements that impart transparency and glamour to this luxury brand’s presentation in the immediate vicinity of the posh Vier Jahreszeiten hotel.

Hadi Teherani has been designing stores for the exclusive Kiton label at eminent locations all over the world since 2000. In addition to Milan (2000), Tokyo (2003), London (2007), Rome and New York (both in 2009), the German locations in Düsseldorf (2004) and Hamburg (2007) are among the brand-defining showrooms fashioned by Hadi Teherani. “Satisfaction and curiosity” are the targeted goals the architect states for his shop design, a design that serves to link a brand to a defined place and a specific clientele. Commensurate with the custom-tailored suits that Kiton offers, he creates one-of-a-kind showrooms that typify the local surroundings. In Rome, for instance, a multiply recurring semicircular arch becomes a ‘building block’ for the shop design and an emotional motif for the store. On Hamburg’s Neuer Jungfernstieg, an upmarket lakeside address, the spacious rooms suffused with light combined with precious dark woods form a contrast that provides a luxurious ambience for the fabrics and suits on offer at this Neapolitan tailor for men.
